Problem installing a Belkin USB wireless G network adapter? - wireless g network adapter

I installed the software supplied with the adapter, not even with what is available online to try, coupled with the adapter. The windows of the new equipment is installed, there was nothing, and just can not do much with it.
How can I get it to work?
I have Windows XP Home.
